Underworld Rise of the Lycans
This most recent addition to the Underworld series is most definitely very entertaining. If it’s gothic themes involving vampires and such, and great fantasy elements that you like, then this is definitely the film for you. It’s one of those classic times where fanatsy an fun, really will intrigue you and leave you fully entertained.
Underworld: Rise of the Lycans takes the Underworld story back to it’s beginnings. It shows how this great war between the vampires and lycans really started. And, we as the viewer, are rewarded with the chance to see how Lucian really became the way he is. Although, I must admit, that I for one am very anxious to witness this great war on screen… maybe there will be a part 4??? 
Apart from the great battle scenes, it’s also a great love story. Not only with just Lucian and Sonia, but with Viktor and Sonia as well. We are also able to witness Viktor’s true feelings towards the incident with his own daughter. [And did anyone else notice that his daughter has brunette hair in this one, but is very much so blond in Underworld?? Hmm… oh well, I’ll forgive it, since memory has been known to “change the color of a room”…o, but that’s another amazing film ;)].
Michael Sheen and Bill Nighy star as the leads and do not disappoint. Both are amazing actors in a fun, entertaining film. I’ve long been a fan of both actors, and it’s great to see them both getting staring roles in a film such as this. While this is nowhere near Oscar worthy, it will allow you a few moments of escape and will remind you that fantasies are not only for children, but very much for adults.
Underworld: Rise of the Lycans is a great way to spend your weekend afternoon. Let your imagination wander and your eyes be allowed a most beautiful cinematic treat.
